5.8.2010 Colour is important for brands

A study carried out by the Seoul International Color Expo found that colour goes so far as to increase brand recognition by up to 80 percent. When asked to approximate the importance of colour when buying products, 84,7 percent of total respondents claimed that colour amounted to more then half the criterion they considered when choosing a brand.

studies have shown that when people make a subconscious judgement about a person, environment, or product within ninety seconds, between 62 and 90 percent of that assessment is based on colour alone.

A fact is that the average time used buying daily goods is only 8-15 seconds per category so colour among other specific brand features are of major importance. A brand that really stand out is e.g Vanish due to it's colour (and power).
